Porcelain veneers are the gold standard treatment option for delivering a natural-looking and lasting smile. Our expert dentists use handcrafted porcelain veneers that have the aesthetic characteristics of natural teeth. We work with Australia’s top cosmetic dental laboratories and their Master Ceramists to achieve these exceptional results.
The fine shell-like structures get permanently bonded to your teeth, both enhancing and protecting your smile. Veneers are a suitable treatment option for a range of dental issues. Examples of these dental issues are gaps, misalignment, damage, wear, discolouration and cracks.
The Process
As each patient is unique, the length of the process may differ in each case. However, the process of getting veneers, from start to finish, is usually a 5-step process.
● Consultation
Your dentist will complete thorough health and aesthetic assessment of your gums and teeth to ensure you are a suitable candidate for veneers. They will also take scans, photographs of your mouth and videos of your smile to better understand your smile dynamics and understand what it is you’d like to change about it.
● Laboratory Colour Consultation
You will be invited to visit one of our master ceramists at their laboratory for a shade consultation. Your veneers are made by both your cosmetic dentist and master ceramist so the better the communication between everyone, the better the outcome. Now is the time to let your creativity and wishes be brought to life. Your master ceramist will help you choose the shade of white that is the perfect match for you!
● Preparation
A minimal amount of tooth is then removed to prepare your teeth for your new veneers. Following this, an impression is taken of your teeth and gums. These impressions are sent to our laboratory for the handcrafting of your veneers.
You will then be fitted with provisional veneers. This allows you and your dentist to assess the shape and colour of your new smile before completing the permanent veneers.
● Placement
Your dentist will do a thorough assessment of the fit of your veneers before bonding them to your teeth. Once this step is complete, your new smile is ready for you to enjoy!
● Follow up
Your results are important to us. We recommend that you come in for a check-up roughly 2 weeks after your veneers are fitted. This allows your dentist to make any final adjustments to the fit and bite, and ensure that your gums are responding well to your new veneers.
Our team is among the leading experts in this treatment. We would love to guide you on your journey to the smile you deserve. Get in touch to book your consultation appointment!
Aftercare
Looking after your veneers is much the same as looking after your natural teeth. Regular check-ups, cleans and good oral hygiene will help prolong the life of your veneers. Try to avoid staining foods and be wary when chewing hard foods. Like your teeth, veneers are susceptible to cracks and chips under excessive force.
